Happy Mani Monday! Here in Canada it's Thanksgiving Monday which means I'm sleeping in and spending the day reading books with a stupidly sweet drink. Aaaaand promptly getting bored by noon when I guarantee I will start texting all my friends to see who is around and bored too. ;) Be careful what you wish for eh? Anyway, here's the gorgeous ruby-red polish from Eat Sleep Polish - The Deadly Poppy Fields!
This week's gorgeous polish is all thanks to one of my favourite indies, Eat Sleep Polish. In September she launched The Wonderful Wizard of Oz collection, and I knew my wallet was in trouble. But just before I could buy the new collection, I was the lucky recipient of an Instagram contest and won the whole thing! What a day!
I tried Purplefield the first day I got the box, but never took high quality pictures of it. So my first featured polish is the Deadly Poppy Fields instead!
While I have many colours from Eat Sleep Polish, I tend to gravitate to the purples, greens and blues. But I'm regretting all that now because this red is absolutely stunning. It's a more traditional colour than what I usually wear, but due to the red and blue shimmer, it's still totally flashy enough for my tastes.
On top of it being really gorgeous to show off, the formula is really easy to work with. This was two simple coats with a glossy top coat. I find that ESP seems to shrink if I use quick-dry top coats, so I used Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure Top Coat with this and the nails lasted a full week. A FULL WEEK. Usually I don't even find out if polish lasts a week, but this was a busy week ok?!
Well, that's it for now. Unfortunately you can't buy The Deadly Poppy Fields at the moment as Eat Sleep Polish is on a hiatus until early 2016. So, sorry for bursting your bubble ;)
