Despite being a girl who raves about how she absolutely adores a bold lip, until a year or so ago, a bold lip for me always meant bright. Electric pink, a poppin' fuschia, a disco purple, a fire-engine red. It wasn't until recently that bold also meant dark. I've always been slightly curious about the goth or industrial punk aesthetic, but have never been fashion adventurous enough to explore it. But now at least I can add a little edge with my makeup and Kat Von D Studded Kiss in Wolvesmouth just makes it a whole lot easier.
I have to admit, I wasn't initially gunning for this colour. It was part of my Kat Von D Studded Kiss Mi Vida Loca Remix set that I picked up from Sephora a few weeks ago. I was curious to try Halo, NaYeon, Coven and Gold Blooded (the new exclusive), but was willing to take the others for a ride (except Noble, anybody want that one?) But despite being drawn to the package for other products, I absolutely fell head over heels for Wolvesmouth!

COLOUR: Wolvesmouth is a dark, metallic berry that literally shifts colour in the light, with lots of blueish/purple shimmer. In some light it looked a lot more berry, and in others it looked much redder. This is about 2 full swipes.
MOISTURE: It's slightly drying, as most of the metallics are, but if your lips are sufficiently exfoliated and you stay hydrated yourself, it's fine. (I found it better than my Kat Von D Adora which I find a bit uncomfortable.)
AROMA: It has this pleasant vanilla scent that is very unlike other vanilla scented lipsticks that I've disliked in the past (L'Oreal, looking at you.)
LONGEVITY: This colour also has a lot of staying power. Despite eating and drinking, I didn't have to reapply this puppy for a few hours. And when it does start to fade, it fades evenly so I'm not left with a weird ombre leading to the middle of my lips.
The Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Studded Kiss Lip Set is currently sold out online at Sephora (that went fast!) but there are some stores that you can find it at. It retails for $50 CDN, but considering you get a full-size Gold Blooded and deluxe high-quality minis of SEVEN other colours, it's a veritable steal. And hey, these might be the first lipsticks I finish before misplacing in my entire LIFE! I'll definitely be nabbing a full-size when this deluxe is done.
