It's been awhile since I did one of these! With fall fully in session, it's only natural that my thoughts will turn to new makeup releases, a change in my skincare regimen and adjusting to the cooler tones and colours of fall!
Because I'm a deals addict, I've been hoarding Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Points for the last few months with two goals. 1) Taking $170 off the purchase of a Nintendo Switch by Christmas and 2) Doing one big $170 makeup & skincare haul!! I'm only about 9000 shy of both goals, so now seems like the perfect time to plan some shopping!
I know the Shoppers Optimum/PC Points announcement has some people claiming they will wait until the systems are merged to do one BIG spend, but honestly, I like the idea of a 50/50 split. Plus, I've basically pre-spent all my points. Check out what I've picked below!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
I'm not sure how I've gone this far in my life without picking up one of these foundations before! They are an absolute staple of beauty bloggers and beauty lovers everywhere, and come in a WIDE variety of shades. Unlike some of the trendier brands that change their foundation formulas quicker than you wash your brushes, this is a stalwart and I'm finally going to commit to this foundation. The one thing I need to figure out is the right shade, I usually lean towards fair and light foundations with pink undertones so I'm thinking Fresco 2C3 but my Sephora Color IQ recommends Desert Beige 2N1, so any idea what I should try?

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil
Now THIS is a product that just screams EXTRA to me and I absolutely love it. While I still have HALF a bottle full of my Camp Skincare Vanilla Moon Dry Oil, when winter hits, there's never enough moisture in the world to help me stay supple. And why have one dry oil when you can have two and change it up just like your perfume?
I know this is a popular item with many bloggers I follow, but it wasn't until recently that I was able to get a whiff of this product and it's life changing. No wonder Parisian women adore it! So now I've been obsessed with it's scent of toasty, beachy goodness that also incorporates a whiff of white summer florals? It drives me crazy that I can't place it but I know that LOVE IT. It also comes in two different styles, the classic and the shimmer, but I think I'll probably just buy the 50ml version of the classic for now, because that smell has just captured me, I NEED it.

Urban Decay Heavy Metals Palette
I've been excited for this palette since I first saw the shades in a teaser a few months ago, but I was really put off by the design/layout of the palette (similar to the way I LOATHE the Kat Von D Saint & Sinner packaging, the layout is so dumb. Why.) But despite the awkward mirror placement, all the swatches and looks I'm seeing from the Heavy Metals palette is AH-MAZE-ING. I know it's not great for travelling but honestly I don't travel that often and when I do I usually bring something like an all in one blush/contour/shadow palette anyway like my Stila. So despite my hesitations, this is definitely coming home with me this winter.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I recently finished a bottle of this #rideordie primer, and while I've been working my way through another Smashbox primer, the hydrating one, it's just not the same. I have a few small samples to tide me over until I make this purchase, but this is hands down the best silicone based primer I've ever owned and I should always have one handy. It's scent-free, extremely supple and is pretty much like magic on my skin, a perfect canvas for any foundation or BB/CC Cream I desire, it literally works with pretty much everything.

LANCÔME Grandiôse Liner in Noir
I've been a devotee of Lancome's eyeliners for the last two years and there is no sign of stopping. The Grandiose line in particular has a very easy to use felt tip applicator, and the bendable wand is especially helpful for somebody with bad vision like me who needs to be mere inches from the mirror to apply my makeup. I've almost completely used up my Brun, and I also own an Emerald and a Sapphire which, while less pigmented, are also very easy to wield and offer a long-lasting look I can rely on all day. I can do a nearly perfect wing in mere seconds with this wand and that is worth all the money in the world some days. This product was received for review.

Alternatives/In-Person Extras!
- I haven't exactly done a 'no-buy' this year, but I have been working through my skincare products over the last few months, and it looks like I'm almost COMPLETELY done all my toners! This means I can simply re-buy Pixi Glow Tonic which is truly the only toner I want to use forevermore.
- I'm also TOTALLY going to grab another Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink, probably in Loyalist or Dreamer, because I SERIOUSLY ADORE these liquid lipsticks. And I just tossed like 20 lipsticks so I know I have more room in my drawer!
