In anticipation of Sephora's big spring sale, I was cruising the beauty blogs for the last few weeks trying to pick out new products and items I wanted to try for this summer. Over the course of a few weeks I kept adding and adding and adding to my Sephora cart until the amount totalled my rent and I finally deleted 90% of my cart.
Despite my cart purge, the one item that stuck with me was the new Formula X White Party collection, a quad of clean, gorgeous and bright white shades that fit this year's trends, but are more powerful than bridal. I saw the swatches at Beautygeeks and promptly fell in love, I knew I just HAD to buy this collection.
And to prepare? I put on my mini of Formula X's Invincible, a gorgeous pale peach tone that is more pastel than fruity. I'm usually a bolder polish girl so it was nice to have something so gorgeous and light on my hands. Formula X's polishes are super shiny and give a gel-link finish before you even put a top-coat on, and are definitely a staple in any polish lover's collection. I also received a lot of compliments with this mani and couldn't wait to add the White Party polishes to my neutral team!
On Sunday I woke up early and trekked across the city to meet Keri from Oh My Swatch for a Sephora Rouge pre-sale. At the event I was a good little beauty blogger and bought things I actually needed like a BB cream, a brow system that actually MATCHES my brows (sorry Benefit), and splurged on a a Too Faced lipstick and some skincare mask goodies. AAAAND I was fully prepared to take the White Party home too. There was just one problem.
THIS $37 COLLECTION IS FOR A PACK OF MINIS.
So I chortled and put it back down. I love a good neutral polish but I'm not that in love with it!
(That said, if anybody wanted to buy this for me, oh for my 30th birthday maybe, who would I be to say no?)
