The Covet Clique: May 29. 2015

It's been awhile since my last covet clique! Does that mean I haven't been buying much lately? Well, yes, in a way. Last month was my April Lipstick Challenge which was all about purging my collection and ridding myself of unneccessary items, so I didn't feel TOO comfortable talking about my lusted-after purchases.

But that was then, and this is NOW! Here's what I'm currently mulling over.

Herschel Supply Co: Electric Lilac City Bag

Herschel Supply Co: Electric Lilac City Bag
Oh this bag, this style, this COLOUR! I was looking for a light-weight, sturdy and cute summer bag that could accompany me at work, or at summer festivals and this Herschel was perfect. When I finally found it at a store, I was stoked! But it wasn't meant to be. After taking it home, I found a rather glaring factory defect on the strap, which would unravel the entire seam. I had to return it and there was literally no more in stock at the store or online. I've been searching for it ever since.
Damage? About $50... if I can find it again. (The US Herschel site doesn't ship to Canada!)

Fresh Rose Discovery Kit

Fresh Rose Discovery Kit: Hydration Essentials
During one of Sephora's special events in the fall, I had the chance to get Fresh Rose Face Mask, a pungent but DELIGHTFULLY refreshing, hydrating mask. I know some people are really sensitive to the scent of rose, but if you've tried this mask you cannot deny that it provides a really healthy glow. The results were pretty noticable and I loved the feel of my skin for the next few days. I'm also quite addicted to my Fresh lip balm and need a refill soon. AAAAND this kit also includes a cooling eye gel and a toner. I'm sold.
The damage? $101 worth of value in a $66 kit from Sephora.

Too Faced Sugar Pop Eye Paette

Too Faced Sugar Pop Eye Palette
When I first saw this palette on The Happy Sloths I was still convined it was too bright for me, but Chelle at Makeup Your Mind turned me around! I really like the base colours and know I'll get some daily use out of them. I've also read that TooFaced's eyeshadows are often much more buttery and blendable than the regular drug store stuff I USUALLY buy. I actually have a few single shadows in comparable shades to these, but definitely lesser quality. SO, I might consider upgrading my cheaper palettes for one with better payoff.
The damage? $45 at Sephora.

Mary Lou-Manizer

Mary Lou-Manizer

The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer
While I am able to get a decent summer tan on my own, everybody could use a little highlighting from time-to-time. While tearing through my makeup drawer the other day, it appears that I ONLY have liquid highlighters right now (Benefit High Beam and Sun Beam mostly) and no powder! Liquid is great but you can't get the same kind of coverage as you can get with a powder. The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer is basically THE multi-use highlighter I've had my eye on for awhile. I've been a fan of their formulas and definitely want to see how this settles on my face. I can't justify an Hourglass Ambient set but this could be a nice lower-priced splurge. The damage?$25 at Birchbox!

What are you currently coveting right now? I've been scouring the new beauty product releases for this summer and there's not much catching my eye just yet. Everybody has a new miceller water, or a setting spray it seems, or a new moisturizer with SPF, but it's all kinda meh so far. Let me know if something has piqued your interest!
